However, if you’ve never come across any other Daphne du Maurier novels beyond Rebecca - don’t worry.īelow are five books by this writer that I think everyone should read. For they are as utterly riveting and artfully written as her gothic classic. These novels don’t get the same kind of airtime as Rebecca. And many of these novels present the same kind of suspenseful plots and darker sides of human frailty that Du Maurier was so skillful in revealing. However, what I couldn’t fully convey is my appreciation of the organization that created it – and much of the technical wizardry that moved us from late to the game to generations ahead of the competition. I’ve made no secret of my love for the SR-71 Blackbird.
